TL has been practising social work for more than 22 years as well as providing counselling for clients with complex needs in both Sydney and London. She initially completed a degree in architecture but found her true calling in social work.
TL has a background in juvenile justice, sexual health, HIV, and LGBTIQ Health, and the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
She completed her master’s in counselling for social work in 2015, and she practices with a strength-based as well as narrative therapeutic approach. She utilises acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and crisis intervention.
She also has a diploma in interpretation for English/Vietnamese and speaks conversational French.
TL identifies as a bisexual, Australian-Vietnamese cisgender woman, feminist, dog enthusiast, astronomy wonderer, jigsaw puzzle struggler, and someone with a penchant for mathematical and scientific jokes, and memes.
